The mandate for everyone to have Health Insurance will soon be here.
If you don’t get health insurance through your employer, then you should check to see if you are required to get it.
If you met the requirements you may be able to apply for government funded Health Insurance or Medicard. ( on Oct. 1st, 2013, plans being on Jan. 1st, 2014)
The IRS will be enforcing whether or not people sign up for Health Insurance or not starting in 2015.
If you don’t have health insurance for a 3 month period during a year, you may be charged a penalty come tax season.
Low-income families or individuals who don’t have to file taxes will not be penalitized or if you met some other special circumstances.
